  • Brendan Angelides is a Los Angeles-based music producer / composer who records and performs live as Eskmo. His multi-genre compositions have been featured on influential labels like Ninja Tune, Warp Records and Planet Mu.

His 2010 self-titled full-length, released on Ninja Tune, was described by Future Sequence as “Create(ing) his own sound.” and BBC Music noted the album as “Electrifyingly enveloping…Mind-melting invention.” Ninja Tune recording artist and film composer Amon Tobin has hailed his work as “some of the best production I’ve heard in recent times.” . Shortly thereafter, the pair teamed up to release a collaborative project under the name Eskamon on Eskmo’s own record label, Ancestor, in early 2010.

Angelides has since toured globally performing sets at festivals, theaters and clubs with live found sound percussion, looping, vocals and synchronized visuals. In mid 2013 he joined forces with a handful of film composers in Los Angeles to create a collective called “The Echo Society.” They have since put on two sold out 350 person events featuring a 12 piece chamber orchestra performing music written exclusively for the collective.

A new full length record has been hinted for end of year 2014 / beginning of 2015.

    “Electrifyingly enveloping…mind-melting invention here…”BBC Music

“..A unique vision and fascinating example of the intersection of organic and electronic.”Fact Mag

“Elegantly melodic, beautiful electronics and enough skewed rhythmatics to make this release a brilliant opening full-length release.”Bleep
